Our Mission

Throughout the years, we discovered there were many horses who unfortunately fell through the cracks. Whether it was due to their ailments, age, or behavior - horses were piling up at sales, feedlots, and rescues (which were constantly overwhelmed by the sheer numbers). 

So...what could we do? At the beginning I owned a small number of personal horses but had time, space, and the desire to make a difference. In 2014, we started privately taking in unwanted horses and provided complete rehabilitation/care. The goal was strictly to provide a soft landing and a guaranteed quality home for life but it soon developed into something more. Safe to say, our lives changed rapidly but we haven't looked back since! As word got out, our herd steadily grew and we branched out to help our local communities with the aid of our unique horses. We found that people truly connected deeply with our herd as they could honestly relate to their situation or story. Since then, we have worked one on one with youth advocates for children at risk and adults who are still healing from their own traumas. We truly believe horses can heal beyond our wildest expectations and can help us reconnect with our authentic power.

In 2019, we purchased a beautiful old dairy farm and moved our entire herd from the East Coast. While it's barn and other buildings were in need of dire repair we were determined to save everything we could, however we could. The barn is in need of the most help and thankfully with a wonderful team of structural engineers we are hoping to bring this old beauty back to it's full glory. While renovations take time we are blessed to have such a wonderful opportunity to grow in a loving community. 

Our mission is to continue to provide a soft landing for equines and humans alike. Our Sanctuary is not just a place for the body to heal, but for the soul as well. There is no judgement here, only love.
